Silouette Assignment

For character design we were given an assignment that took three steps.

We were given for different references to look off of. They were an Aladdin looking guy, a cabaret girl, a hoblite (whatever...that's what my teacher called him), and a MadMax guy. Then we follow the three steps!

1. First, you draw a silouette from the references using a marker. I personally hated all of mine, but I enjoyed doing it all the same.
2. Second, you scan the silouettes into the computer, take it into some painting program (such as photoshop or painter) and start whiteing things out. Again, mine didn't turn out how I wanted, but I love the concept of it.
3. Third, you take your silouette and make lineart out of it. And yes, mine stink. But I really enjoyed the process all the same. It got me thinking a different way and if I had put more time and effort into it I think mine woulda turned out better. But oh well. 8)
