My Rainbow Baby

For those of you curious about why I've been extremely inactive on dA the last few months...

I'm pregnant with our rainbow baby!

For those of you who don’t know, a "Rainbow Baby" is a child born following a miscarriage or still birth.

Why a rainbow? Rainbows always follow a storm, bringing forth hope and beauty after the darkness, cold, and rain. The rainbow stands out against the dark clouds, more beautiful and brilliant having just endured the ravages of the storm.

Many of you know our storm happened a year ago when we lost our son Kyden. (We actually celebrated his 1 year birthday last Saturday!) Although storm clouds still linger as we continue to mourn the loss of our son, we look forward with hope to the appearance of our own beautiful rainbow this summer – June 9, 2013.

So yes, I haven't been on because the first few months of pregnancy completely wipe me out! Nausea, exhaustion, heartburn, migraines...its tough! I haven't touched my computer for almost three months! But this weekend I suddenly found my energy returning and I'm feeling a lot better so you should be seeing art from me on a more regular basis!

I'm a little nervous, but mostly excited. We're just praying and hoping that all goes well this time! I'm excited to be back on dA too hahah.
